Chairman Rusty Hike is the Sarpy County Commissioner from the 1st District. He was elected to office in January, 2009. His term expires December, 2012. Commissioner Hike serves as a liaison representative for the Metropolitan Area Planning Agency Board of Directors, the Sarpy County Budget and Finance Committee, and the Nebraska Association of County Officials, NACO. Rusty is a fourth generation, lifelong resident of Sarpy County. He has served on the Bellevue Planning Commission and the Bellevue Board of Adjustment. He is an Associate Broker of CBSHome Real Estate and has been in real estate sales since 1982. Rusty and his wife Joanna, along with their three children, reside on an acreage south of Bellevue. |

Jim Thompson is the Sarpy County Commissioner from District 2. He took office on January 6, 2011 and his term expires December 31, 2014. Commissioner Thompson serves on the Merit Commission, Visitor/Tourism Committee and the Legislation Committee. Commissioner Thompson is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame. He also has a MBA from Creighton and a Masters Degree in School Administration from UNO. Thompson has been involved in many community organizations including the Sarpy YMCA, Teammates, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the Lions Club, the Papillion/La Vista Schools Foundation and several Chambers of Commerce. Jim has lived in the Metro area for 56 years and has been a Sarpy County resident since 1975. He and wife Nancy have four grown children and six grandchildren. |

Vice-Chairman Jim Nekuda is the Sarpy County Commissioner for District 4. He was appointed into office on October 15, 2010. Commissioner Nekuda currently serves as liaison representative for the E-911 Committee and the Criminal Justice Coordinating Committee. Mr. Nekuda holds two associates in applied science degrees from Metro Community College, a Bachelor of Science degree in business information systems and a Master of Arts degree in leadership from Bellevue University. He is involved in numerous community activities and in his free time he enjoys volunteering to teach elementary school children about local history and business. He also enjoys genealogy and has traced his family's lineage back to the 12th century. Mr. Nekuda is the Associate Vice President of Strategic Initiatives Operations at Bellevue University. He and his wife, Michelle, reside in Bellevue and have two sons - Evan and Andy. |

Jim Warren is the Sarpy County Commissioner from District 5. He took office on January 11, 2011 and his term expires December 31, 2014. He has served on the Gretna City Council and as Gretna's Mayor. Commissioner Warren currently serves as liaison representative for the Human Services & Eastern Nebraska 6 County Human Services Governing Board and the Sarpy/Cass Department of Health and Wellness. Commissioner Warren holds a degree from Toccoa Falls College (Toccoa Falls, Georgia). Warren considers "community service" very important to him and is involved in numerous community activities including the Gretna Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department and Gretna Chamber. His roots in the Gretna area go as far back as his Great Grandfather. Jim is a former business owner and is currently working with "Journey Church of Gretna" which was founded in 2009. Jim also spends time in Haiti doing volunteer work. He and his wife, Patti, reside in Gretna and have three children - Daughter Jamie, son Josiah and daughter Sarah. |
